About the Role
CREW Carbon is on a mission to removing billions of tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. CREW’s technology enhances the natural power of minerals to treat wastewater and store CO2 permanently, all while optimizing pH and alkalinity, improving nutrient removal rates and reducing costs for the municipalities wastewater treatment plant. The Chief of Staff position will act to manage and improve operational and strategic initiatives across CREW Carbon, including but not limited to: team management, operations & project management, partnership oversight & buildout, and corporate development & FP&A. This work is integral to CREW’s strategic objectives and will enable the CEO and executive team to deliver on the key milestones that will drive business success.

Team Management
Support cross-functional teams across operations, strategy, engineering, and sales / business development, establishing and maintaining procedures for hiring and managing office staff
Run point on the search process for key hires, including: wastewater engineers, account managers, and science team lab technicians
Help organize and run regular, recurring meetings such as all-hands, sales pipeline review, etc.
Operations & Project Management
Implement and manage project management structures and tools such as sprints, scrums, and standups to ensure the timely and effective completion of key strategic workstreams.
Help manage day-to-day operational activities such as executing on the delivery of wastewater treatment plant hardware and feedstock deliveries, and regular monitoring of carbon removal
Partnership Oversight & Buildout
Provide oversight to existing partnership agreements, communicating across key stakeholders and ensuring effective delivery of contract requirements
Support the build of outward-facing materials such as sales decks, memos, and one-pagers to effectively communicate CREW’s mission and progress.
Corporate Development and FP&A
Support investor and stakeholder relations, working with the CEO to build systems for investor and stakeholder updates
Provide confidential advice on strategic direction and initiatives, including landing and defining partnership structures to help maximize the value and speed up the sales cycle of carbon credits
Assist in all aspects of financial planning and analysis, such as: a) running and controlling the operating model, b) planning, forecasting, and budgeting financials, c) oversight of regular performance reporting and cash-flow forecasting, and d) scenario analysis and modeling for specific partnership and client opportunities
Requirements
Required Qualifications
5+ years of work experience in management consulting, strategy, or similar high-performance environments.
Proven project management experience, with a track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects from planning through execution, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex challenges and develop actionable solutions.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with different teams and stakeholders across all levels.
Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, where adaptability, creativity, and execution are key.
Passion for climate change mitigation and a desire to make an impact in the climate-tech space.
Bonus Qualifications:
Experience working in or consulting for startups, particularly in high-growth or early-stage companies.
Experience in industries with a hardware, chemical, or infrastructure component.
Familiarity with operations in climate-tech or environmental sectors.
Compensation
$95,000-140,000 with equity option, plus competitive company benefits such as relocation bonus, health insurance, paid time off, and others.
About the Company
Location:
Brooklyn, NY: 4-5 days in person at CREW’s Newlab Brooklyn Office (19 Morris Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11205) with flexibility to work remotely as needed.
